hvordan finde jeg ledig ip adresser på mit netværk.
Jeg er på ingen måde netværk mand eller linux mand, men sidder alligevel og forsøger at administrerer et netværk med 100 windows maskiner, server er en mandrake 9.2 der kører dhcp. Nu er jeg blevet bedt om at finde nogle ledige ip adresser. Hvordan gør jeg det bedst muligt.? Det er et dhcp netværk, så jeg skal finde nogle adresser der sjældent eller aldrig bliver brugt. Normalt ville jeg bruge Look@LAN men af en eller anden årsag, finder den kun ca. 10 maskiner af de 100 jeg har på netværket. any idears.?

Prøv at kigge i filen /var/lib/dhcp/dhcpd.leases. Den burde have en liste at ip adresser der har været brugt, sammen med nogle informationer om hvem de kig til og hvornår. Du må ikke ændre i den fil.

Hvad mener du med det. På listen er der da mange flere end 10 forskellige ip adresser fra i år 2009?

Du kan lave en exclude i din dhcpd.conf, hvor du sætter en eller flere IP'er, som DHCPen ikke skal uddele. En anden mulighed er at uddele på MAC addressen via DHCP. Hvilket jeg ikke ville anbefale dig at gøre hvis det drejer sig om kritiske ting. Eller du kan lave dit DHCP scope mindre, så du ikke uddeler så mange IPer. Så vil de førte 20, eller sidste 20 eksempelvis være til fri afbenyttelse andre steder.

jeg går ud fra du mener i /etc/dhcp.conf Men hvordan laver jeg en exclude,, jeg er på helt bare bund i linux. Det er find nok bare at lave en exclude på en IP.
