Backup af access database

Access CAN NOT make a backup, you have to do thiis yourself.

Har du delt din database i en tabel del og resten. Kan du få access til det via nogle dos komandoer. Problemet er der ikke må være tabeller åbne. Så din velkomst form åbner uden tabel, der går du i dine former eller til knappen bakop.

ok, et ander access problem er at
Jeg bruger formatet (predefineret)Short date som dato type i min access tabel.
Med dansk sprog ser det sådan ud: ex, 09-10-2002
med engelsk sprog ser det sådan ud: ex, 09/10/2002
i mit program behandler jeg dato og sætter bl.a. selv "-" ind mellem dag og måned og år.
Derfor er det lidt problematisk at databasens short date ændres også når sprog ændres på computeren. Kan jeg så selv definere en dato type med "-" i tabellen.
Hvordan gøres dette: måske: DD-MM-YYYY  i input mask ??

Det med datoer ved jeg inted om.

What is this "erectional" setting - or !?!?  :-)

So in which format is date stored in the database ?
am i getting it right; input mast is not equal to what is stored in the database??

The data is stored as a number of some sort, and you will get to see it depending on your regional settings.
Dates are ALWAYS a problem in applications and even IF you defined an input mask you can NOT be sure that what gets written to the dB is what you expected.

for example what is this date 01-02-02?
Is it 1 Feb. or 2 Jan.?
But your input mask would accept it!

Den eneste måde, hvorpå du kan ændre datofeltets udseende er, ved at ændre formatet til f.eks:

dd-mm-åååå (engelske versioner: dddd-mm-yyyy)

som returnerer f.eks 10-10-2002 for 10 OKT 2002

Men det ændrer ikke det lagrede som terry påpeger
