usb-nøgle kan ikke findes

Hej
Jeg har købt en mp3-player og til at gemme data. I windows og Knoppix virker usb-dimsen, men ikke på min suse 9.2.
Kan nogen hjælpe mig?

Hvis du prøver at sætte den i, og så bagefter i en konsol skriver: dmesg
Hvad er så outputtet fra de sidste par linier?

Det ses i bunden at din USB bliver fundet, og at den får tildelt enheden /dev/sda

Så skal den jo bare mountes til en mappe. Eksempelvis:
mkdir /mnt/usb
mount -t vfat /dev/sda1 /mnt/usb

Det har du måske prøvet under Knoppix?

I så fald, hvis ovenstående virker (du skal nok være root), og USB-dimsens indhold er at finde i /mnt/usb, så kan du tilføje dette til din /etc/fstab for at din USB-key fremover vil blive husket:

/dev/sda1              /mnt/usb        vfat            noauto,users,rw        0 0

Så hvis du er i gruppen "users", så kan keyen altid mountes ved at skrive: mount /mnt/usb

tak for det. Det lader til det virker. Meen jeg skal mounte hvergang. Er det ikke muligt at usb-nøglen mounter automatisk når jeg stikker den ind i usb-porten, det gør min anden usb-nøgle (Kingston).

Det har jeg så ikke rodet så meget med, men der skulle være programmer til den slags. Supermount er der vist en der hedder.
Her en guide til det. Selvom den er skrevet til Gentoo burde den være gældende generelt:

Som jeg tidligere har skrevet til dig så er Linux uanset hvilket distro vi taler om af den klare overbevisning, at blot man gør det bøvlet så tror brugeren på at det er mere sikkert, jeg er ved at tro på at SuSE 9.2 har taget teten her. Dit problem kan også løses således.
Sæt din USB enhed i stikket -> log på root -> Kontrolcenter -> YAST modules -> Udstyr, nu findes og registreres din USB enhed klik save når du er færdig. Du vil nu se at den optræder som
/dev/sda  /usb  ------
i /etc/fstab, du kan herefter mounte den i "Min Computer" hvor den har fået syt eget ikon
