Image load/display bug i IE6?
Her min beskrivelse på engelsk, da jeg også har posted den i en enkelt (engelsk) newsgroup for at få mere info.Er der nogle, der har en god forklaring eller på anden måde kan bidrage?
It appears that IE 6 has a bug displaying some images.
Follow this method to reproduce:
-------------------------------------------------------------
1)
Open a fresh IE 6 and goto this page:
http://www.fyrdenaf.dk/ie_bug6/bug.html
The source for this page is a simple img tag loading
image.jpg
As you'll notice the page will load forever. And you'll
get multiple time_wait connections to the server in
your netstat.
Try accessing any other site now, and you'll see that
IE 6 has become unstable.
-------------------------------------------------------------
2)
Now close down IE 6. Open a new fresh one and goto the image
directly at:
http://www.fyrdenaf.dk/ie_bug6/image.jpg
The image will display normally.
-------------------------------------------------------------
No other version of IE nor any other browser I have tested
with have this problem.
It may be the image that contains crappy data, but this
should not lead to the browser becomming unstable etc.
And if the image has crappy data how come it displays the image
correctly when you access it directly, or with any other client than IE6?
This has been tested with client version 6.0.2800.1106.xpsp1.020828-1920.
I have tested on different servers as well.
