RPC UNAVAILABLE ERROR When adding a printer, you may see the error, "Operation could not be completed. The RPC Server is unavailable." Typically, this means that the Spoolss.exe or Spoolss.dll has been corrupted. You'll need to replace these files with working copies. The best way to do this is by reapplying the last service pack, but you can also do it using the InUse plug-in program, as explained in a previous tip. Jeg mener at have haft samme problem engang og da hjalp det at geninstallere service pack'en.

Jeg har geninstalleret service pack 6a i mail serveren. det hjalp ikke.

Hvorfor kan jeg ikke oprette lokal printer i mail server som sidder i parallel port?

Check at servicen "Remote Procedure Call (RPC) Service" er startet. Hvis ikke den er det, prøv da at starte den manuelt. Mislykkedes det kan du afinstallere servicen under netværks-egenskaber, genstarte maskinen og installere servicen igen. Afslut med at installere service packen igen, så skulle det køre igen.
