RAM og IBM Aptiva 2176-362

Jeg har følgende spørgsmål, som er på engelsk, da jeg også har spurgt IBM:

I have an Aptiva 2176-362 from 1997. Originally it had 4 * 8 MB RAM. I have upgraded to 2 * 32 MB RAM + 2* 8 MB RAM = 80 MB RAM

Now I want to change the two 8 MB RAM with 2 * 32 MB RAM to get 128 MB RAM in total. According to the manual it is OK, as long the RAM fulfills certain conditions explicitly stated in the manual (Ch. 6, page 70 in the danish manual). But now I am told, that this may not be enough; they also have to be IBM-RAM, whatever that means. I have already bought 2 * 32 MB RAM EDO, 6o ns, 72 pins etc. So if it is correct, that they should have been bought especially through IBM, I think IBM I have a problem with the statement in the manual. So have any of you experienced the same problem ?\'
