Brightness settings have been added
In a recent update to the G HUB software, the color picker has been updated and seems to help a bit with the brightness issue I described above. The old interface used to include a 2D color picker which allowed you to pick different shades of colors, which helped a bit with brightness, but not much. It has been replaced by two sliders that offer effectively the same options, but it seems the lower slider has a more pronounced effect on lowering brightness than the old interface.
I still find that some colors are a bit too harsh even at the lowest setting. Blue and purple are the big offenders, but that's a known phenomenon linked to the wavelength of blue light — it basically lives near the highest end of the visible spectrum. Regardless, as long as you can work around the harsher colors and turn down the rest, this mostly resolves the challenge of keeping this mic in a dark room."
