Q2 Why can't the system boot up at 100MHz setting
with PC-100 memory? top
A Follow the steps below:
Change the dip-switch setting for memory to 66MHz and if it boots up then go to Step 2 otherwise try other memory.
Go into the BIOS and change the "SDRAM Cycle Length" from "Auto" to "3" under "Chipset Features Setup", "Save and Exit Setup" and shut down the system.
Change the dip-switch setting for memory to 100MHz and it should boot up now.

A This problem occurs on the AT power supply only and it should be fine to turn off your system when you see the black screen.

A Please update your BIOS to JN412.

A Follow the steps below:
When you are starting Windows 95 OSR2, OSR2.1, or OSR2.5 on a computer with an AMD-K6-2 processor running at speeds of 350 MHz and above, you may receive one of the following error messages:
Device IOS failed to initialize.
Windows Protection Error.
You must reboot your computer.

A VA-503A can support the complete line of AMD K6, K6-2, K6-III CPUs, except K6-2 533MHz.

A You don't need the Audio Riser Card to get the work properly, you should the sound module instead and the sound module should came with the board and two ribbon cables. The sound module provide the Mic-in, Line-in, and Lin-out audio jacks also.
