mkv file stutters on my MAc mini playback from Synology

Hi all,

I just got my synology 213j, but have a strange problem with simple video playback with VLC.

Setup:
DS 213j with 2 x WD 3TB RED in raid 0.
My home network has a PC (core i7 6GB ram )
Mac mini 2012 (core i7 4 gb) connected to my Sony HX800)
All connected to a netgear wndr3700.

Problem:
When I playback any mkv file 720p(4gb) - 1080p24remux(27gb) on my mac mini from my synology 213j the video stutters every 20 - 60 sec, and when it does the color also gets psycedelic for a short moment. It is the same in 24hz and 60hz

Running smooth when:
I playback any mkv file 720p - 1080remux on my mac mini with the file stored on local drive, it runs smooth in 1080p24

I playback any mkv file 720p - 1080remux on my mac mini with the file stored on my pc it runs smooth in 1080p24

I playback any mkv file 720p - 1080remux on my PC with the file stored on my Synology ds 213j
it runs smooth in 1080p 60Hz ( My monitor cannot show 24p true cinema)


I use VLC on my MAC mini and PC for video playback.
Just made a clean install on the mac mini with os x maverics
When I transfer files to an from any of my devices in my network it is with speeds between 55-110mb/s

I hope someone can help me slove the problem
