Problemer med at køre et gammelt spil i Windows 8
Jeg har installeret Dragon Age ultimate igennem Steam. Når jeg prøver at køre spillet som administrator, kommer der følgende vindue op.
DAOrigins.exe - Fejl i afbildning
C:\Windows\SYSTEM32\d3dx9_36.dll er enten ikke beregnet til at køre i Windows, eller også indeholder den fejl. Prøv at installere programmet igen ved hjælp af de oprindelige installationsfiler, eller kontakt systemadministratoren eller programleverandøren for at få hjælp. Fejlstatus 0xc000012f.
Jeg køre Windows 8 og jeg har prøvet at få løst problemet igenne support, uden held.
Hvis du har mod på det samt en ældre windows, så kan du i win8 lave en VM hvor du installere først win7 og derefter dit spil. (lidt en erstatning for XP-mode i win8)

Det må kunne køre under win8! I've recently started playing Dragon Age: Origins again and while it does run great on Windows 8, it unlike on 7 causes my laptop to overheat and shut down during intense situations like huge battles with lots of spells and such flying about. Ja har også selv fundet en del der kan køre det, jeg har fundet en på Steam support, der har haft samme problem, så har skrevet der om de har fået det løst.
Men som sidwave skriver så er det måske noget med Steam og DirectX. Jeg kan stadig ikke finde et sted hvor jeg kan opdatere directX, men har fundet ud af, at jeg har DirectX 11 installeret.
Installation: - Run x64 setup to install on 64-bit Windows - Run x86 setup to install on 32-bit Windows
Jeg har 64 bits system, men installationen kører x86 måske er det her jeg skal ændre noget, men hvordan kan jeg køre x64, når det kører over Steam, det kunne godt være her problemet skal løses.
Yderligere står der noget med 32 i det fejl vindue som kommer op, så igen det kunne være noget med 32 bits kontra 64 bits. Jeg har dog ikke forstand på den slags, så det er kun et bud:)
