When looking at DLNA served content on my TV (Samsung UE40V6905VS LED) from the NAS "LG-N2A2"- through my router and wirelessly transported (802.11 N) to my Samsung internet dongle in the TV, its only video/films that works perfect.
When looking on images from either the default folder service/DLNA og any other assigned DLNA folder, I get an message on the TV that the fileformat (.jpg) is invalid ? I have tried almost everything from udating the TV to the latest firmware, to rebooting the NAS, updating the DLNA libraries on the NAS, changed the wireless channel on my router - but nothing makes a difference ?
What makes it all more mysterious is that the exact same image files can, without any problems at all, be seen on the TV, when served by DLNA from my laptop (a recently new HP Pavillion model).
So, my guess is that the NAS N2A2, does something to the .jpg files, through the DLNA transport, that the Samsung TV doesn't like ?
The last mysterious discovery is that the TV as a matter of fact actually can show the thumbnails of the images served from the NAS - but it is not able to resolve them in a bigger picture on the screen whithout getting this error message saying "Invalid fileformat" ?
I hope you understand the above and can provide me with some suggestions to what can be the done - because this was actually one of the reasons for me to buy this product - namely to show my images on a big screen !
Update 18.05.2011:
On recommandations from Servicon (phone +4533114200) I today upgraded the firmware to
ver. 3643.200 and now I still got the above mentioned problem but also a NEW one:
Now the NAS doesn't appear on the DLNA available unit list on the TV - until I in the admin console (the NAS web interface) in the Media Service menu refreshes the DLNA connection ?????
