Installation af linux, ved siden af windows

Hej alle sammen.
Jeg er blevet fasineret af linux styresystemet, men jeg har window 7. Så jeg prøvede at downloade installationen, og det gjorde jeg, jeg brændte den, men da jeg ville installere det ved opstart, gjorde den ikke andet end at starte windows. Så jeg prøvede at installere en hjælper som fulgte med, der gjorde at cd'en ville blive startet ved opstart. men da jeg prøvede at indstallere den sagde den bare at der var opstået en fejl og at jeg skulle se filen

Kan nogle af jer hjælpe mig med at fikse det, for jeg kan ikke få det fikset selv da jeg ikke engang ved hvad problemet er. Men hvis i fortæller mig hvad problemet er og fortæller mig hvordan jeg fikser det, vi det være en stor hjælp.

Jeg synes at kunne se at det er en Ubuntu du har gang i. Ubuntu kan installeres "inden i" Windows. På din Ubuntu CD er et program som hedder "wubi.exe". Det er et Windows program som installerer Ubuntu i en sandbox på harddisken. Hvis du så senere vil af med Ubuntu kan du bare afinstallere det fra Windows "Programmer og funktioner".

Øhh, kan du ikke bare gå i bios og bestemme boot sekvens ?

Altså, cd/dvd => Usb => harddisk o.s.v.

Og forresten; når du installerer via Wubi fungerer Ubuntu præcis som hvis du installerede det traditionelt, du skal stadig boote ind i Ubuntu. Det er altså ikke en virtuel installation.

Nu skal jeg lige have den igen. Jeg går på gymnasiet og ja jeg er inteligent, men jeg forstår ikke helt hvad du mener.
Medmindre at du mener at jeg har installeret Ubuntu som et program og ikke som et styresystem ved siden af windows.
