Please help me choose a computer between these 2!

1 GB mem is not enough.

You should go for at least 2. And assuming it is a 64 bit Linux there are no problems with more.

I will consider the processor in the second machine to be outdated.

I have never experienced graphics cards to be a problem when programming. And I usually
buy 200 kroner graphics cards.

So something like the first machine. With more memory. And if price is ceritical
a cheaper graphics card to pay for the more memory.

I think you should buy option 1, but buy more ram, least 2 GB ram. Core2duo are faster and run like a Porche :) with core2duo can you have more programs at the same time

Take the first one. Intel is much better at the moment, and the graphic card in the first one is also better. You could also order 1GB more RAM, which would help alot I believe. http://www.dustinhome.se/pd_5010095699.aspx

I would suggest you found a computer with Core 2 Quad, as it is very much more useful when it comes to programming, as you tend to have alot(!) of programs running at the same time.

Pretty much the same but it would be interesting to hear from you if you see anything that perhaps is not compatible with Linux.

One thing that is not clear to me is what I think is the videocard:
Integrerad Intel® Graphic Media Accelerator 3100
It does not say anything about RAM or performance.

The good things with this is that it includes 2 GB RAM, and also Windows Vista. Probably a good thing for a sell later. The price is just the same as the one from dustin. Unfortenately it was not possible to paste the url.

Nothing special to note.

You could try and see if you could find it cheaper without Vista - now you don't need it.
