unrecognized configuration parameter "tcpip"
HejJeg forsøger at lave en ny server vha pgAdmin, det går desværre galt. I pgAdmin ser jeg følgende:
INFO : Creating a pgServer object
INFO : Attempting to create a connection object...
STATUS : Connecting to database without password...
INFO : Creating pgConn object
INFO : Server name: localhost (resolved to: 127.0.0.1)
INFO : Opening connection with connection string: hostaddr='127.0.0.1' dbname='firstTest' user='postgres' port=5432
STATUS : Connecting to database without password... (0.02 secs)
ERROR : Error connecting to the server: could not connect to server: Connection refused
Is the server running on host "127.0.0.1" and accepting
TCP/IP connections on port 5432?
INFO : Destroying pgConn object
INFO : Destroying a pgServer object
I documentationen til pgAdmin kan jeg læse dette;
For security reasons, a PostgreSQL server "out of the box" doesn't listen on TCP/IP ports. Instead, it has to be enabled to listen for TCP/IP requests. This can be done by adding tcpip = true to the postgresql.conf file for Versions 7.3.x and 7.4.x, or listen_addresses='*' for Version 8.0.x and above; this will make the server accept connections on any IP interface.
Aha! Jeg har version 7.4.6, så "tcpip = true" skulle gerne løse mine problemer. Det prøver jeg så at tilføje configurations filen og genstarter herefter postgreSQL
FATAL: unrecognized configuration parameter "tcpip"
Jeg har også prøvet med listen_addresses bare for at vise min gode vilje, det giver samme resultat.
Nogen hints til hvordan man får adgang til PostgreSQL?
Kan det være et problem med rettigheder/password?
Jeg har følgende configuration;
- Fedora Core 3
- pgAdmin III - version 1.2
- postmaster (PostgreSQL) 7.4.6
