Printer virker ikke efter at sp2 er indstaleret

Efter jeg har indstaleret sp2 har min printer (Cannon smartbase mpc190) valgt ikke at virke mere. Når jeg prøver at komme in kontakt med den fryser windows, eller bliver meget ustabil.
Håber der er nogle der har en ide om hvad det kan være.
Printeren køre på USB, det samme gør mit cabel modem.

Prøv at geninstallere softwaren til printeren.

I am having problems with my Multifunctionals after installing Windows XP Service Pack 2. 
 
Cause

Error messages pop up when machines are trying to print/ fax a document and unable to perform such operations. Or an error message appears when machines are trying to scan and unable to scan the document. Please refer to the following for details of error messages.

A dialog box pops up 10 to 30 seconds after MFP/FAX products start printing or faxing a document. The machines were unable to print or fax.
The dialog box includes the message: " Unable to communicate with the device. Please start MPService from the Services applet in the Control Panel. Then please right-click on the StatusMonitor to Reconnect and try again.

If click on OK, the following message appears: "The print job failed to complete. Reason: Unable to communicate with the device. The device may be turned off, or a cable may be disconnected. Please make sure that the device is turned on, connected and functioning properly."


When trying to scan a document, a dialog box appears, and machines fail to scan the document. The dialog box shows the following message: "This action cannot be completed because the other program is busy. Choose Switch To' to activate the busy program and correct the problem."

If you click on [Switch To...], Start menu will appear.
If you click on [Retry], the above message remains displayed.
So users have to hold down [Ctrl]+[Alt]+[Delete] to start Task Manager and shut down Toolbar.


Another phenomenon is: It takes approximately 3 minutes to open My Computer.

IP address (127.0.0.2) was set up to enable communication between MPService's processes as corrective action for the quality problem (unable to start MPService). But the IP address between 127.0.0.2 and 127.0.0.9 was not usable on SP2.



Solutions

The affected models are: SmartBase MPC190 and SmartBase MPC200"
The affected drivers versions are:

SmartBase MPC190: Ver.4.40a
SmartBase MPC200: Ver.4.30a
Note: There in no need to update in case v4.20a and v4.30a without previous patch file for "MP service problem under Dial-up connection".

Solution


Download the patch file (.zip file) to the desktop of the PC, and double-click the file to and extract the patch files to your desktop.
The patch file: mp4x0tMPSxpsp2


When the file extraction has concluded, a folder with the same name as the patch file will be created on the desktop of the PC. Double-click the folder to open it, and The following four files are contained.

mp4x0tMPSxpsp2.exe
mp4x0tMPSxpsp2.ini
UpdtRep4.dll
common (MpNetIpc.ini)

Execute the file mp4x0tMPSxpsp2.exe.

After the patch file has been executed, the following dialog "Update complete successfully!! You MUST Restart Windows now." Will be displayed. Click Yes to restart the PC.
Note: In case that this file runs with not affected software, the following messages appear."There is no need to update this system."


How to confirm whether the patch file has been applied or not:

Click the MultiPASS button displayed on the Canon MultiPASS toolbar.
Note: If the Canon MultiPASS toolbar is not displayed, select Start, All Programs, Canon MultiPASS Suite 4.x, and Canon MultiPASS Toolbar to display the Canon MultiPASS toolbar.


In the "My MultiPASS"-window click on the MultiPASS menu toolbar and click About MultiPASS.
Confirm that the driver versions Build number has the letter "t" appended to it, as shown in this example:

Before the patch: Build 4x0axx
After the patch : Build 4x0axxt

Mange tak, det er jeg sku glad for. Lige mit problem teksten veskriver. og patchen virker. Fedt. 10minutter fra indlæget på kom til en løsning. inponerene

Hej Drenge ! Jeg har samme problem med min Canon Smartbase 600F, men der er vist ikke lavet nogen patch/løsning til den endnu. Min Pc vil ikke kommunikere med printer efter opdatering til XP SR 2.
