Du kan sagtens bruge din nuværende disk - kræver at den kan rumme dine data 2 gange :-) - Så da kan da godt anbefales at smide en disk mere i - Raid er godt men også "ærgerligt" at spilde god harddisk plads.
Jeg bruger følgende script på min server hvor jeg backer et samba dir op og smider det over i et andet samba dir på en anden disk - Jeg kopiere så min backup over på min lokale XP hver mandag da der så er en fuld backup. Scriptet laver en encremental backup hele ugen og fuld backup hver søndag - scriptet smides i /etc/cron.daily (kaldes backup.cron eller hvad du nu vil kalde det) eller hvor dine cron jobs nu ligger henne - Det givet eksempel er fra en e-smith server.
